OUR MISSION

It is the goal of Sistas In Soccer to provide a place for women of all ages to play the game of soccer in a fun and recreational setting. We want to create an opportunity to meet new people, to get some exercise and to do it in a manner that is both kind and respectful to all other members of the league. Our mission does not include fundraising, aggressive competition or to undermine other players or leagues.

OUR HISTORY

Sistas was founded in 2003 when no other women’s recreational leagues existed in London. The first season was a huge hit. Over 200 women registered to play this “just for fun” league and we had a blast. Since its inception in 2003, Sistas in Soccer has grown to almost 1000 women playing in London and has expanded to 3 more cities. Hamilton and Windsor started in 2008 and Guelph started in 2015!

In the fall of 2017, Mel Kloetstra and Candy Martin took over ownership of the league. Mel and Candy are sports enthusiasts who have played in the London league almost since the beginning and continue to look for ways to grow this fun league for all women.

Most of our players start with little or no soccer experience. All that is required of any player is a great team spirit, a desire to play the game and a fabulous sense of humour.  Sistas in Soccer is not for anyone looking to play competitive soccer, however it is for EVERYONE looking to play soccer, have a lot of fun and meet new people.

    • $170 (taxes included) Jersey provided
    • 6:00pm - 8:00pm
    • North London Athletic fields

  • Friday 90 min League (2x40 mins)

    • $200 (taxes included)
    • (2 x 40 mins)
    • 6pm-10pm at Windermere Fields

  • Sunday 90 min League (2x40 mins)

    • $200 (taxes included)
    • (2 x 40 mins)
    • 6pm - 10pm at Windermere Fields

  • Women's Masters league

    • Sunday evenings
    • $170 (taxes included)
    • (2 x 25 mins)
    • Players must be 35 yrs old as of January 1, 2025

Guelph
